The Challenge:
A global manufacturer of colour additives for plastics, Ampacet Corporation was about to embark on a major upgrade to their EnterpriseOne system.  Until now, the company had been self-sufficient in managing their daily CNC requirements in-house.  Now, they required a trusted partner to assist with this next initiative.

The Solution:
Having been referred to Ampacet by their preferred partner TeamCain a few years earlier to perform a CNC Audit, ERP-one was delighted to be referred once again to assist with this major initiative.  ERP-One initially set up on-site workshops to scope user requirements.. Ampacet then bought the required hardware and software.  Using ERP-One’s proven installation methodologies , we built and maintained a completely standalone  EnterpriseOne platform while leaving the existing EnterpriseOne 8.0 system unaltered and continuing to service the business.  ERP-One continues to conduct extensive user testing along the way as well as training and mentoring CNC staff to ensure that on the Go Live Date slated for late 2009, there will be little to no business impact and that Ampacet staff are confident, prepared and equipped with the tools and knowledge required to maintain their systems.  The future is bright for Ampacet.  They plan to expand to Asia and at that point will need to run 7/24.  “In the current economic climate, the ability to outsource CNC needs to companies such as ERP-One will ultimately provide companies like Ampacet with true value and cost savings….this makes good business sense.” says Robert Woods, Global IT Director.
